Electrical Flexible Metal Conduit How To Ground

Metal conduit and trunking must be grounded (PE) or zero (PEN) reliable and comply with the following:

1. Galvanized steel ducts, flexible ducts and metal troughs shall not be fused across the grounding conductor. The special conductor shall be copper conductor flexible conductor with a cross-sectional area not less than 4mm.

2. When non-galvanized steel pipe with threaded connections, the connection at both ends of the welding ground wire; when the galvanized steel pipe with threaded connections, the two ends of the connection with a dedicated grounding card fixed grounding wire;

3. The metal trunking is not used as the grounding conductor of the device. When the design is not required, the metal trunking shall be connected to the PE or PEN trunk line at least not less than 2 times in length.

4. Non-galvanized metal wire between the two ends of the connecting plate across the copper grounding wire, galvanized wire between the two ends of the connecting plate does not cross the ground wire, but not less than two at both ends of the connecting plate to prevent loose Nut or lock washer attachment bolts.
